Florin Analytical Services (FAS) is a recognized leader in inorganic analyses. FAS occupies 10,000 sq ft of a 40,000 sq ft facility on three acres just north of Reno, Nevada, owned by Kappes, Cassiday & Associates (KCA), a process-engineering company founded in Reno in 1972. The staff brings over 100 years of combined analytical-chemistry experience in the mining and chemical-processing industries.

## Analytical Capabilities
- Fire assay for gold, silver, platinum and palladium
- Quantitative whole-rock analyses
- Carbon and sulfur analyses (induction furnace / LECO)
- Inorganic and general chemistry by instrumental and specific technique
- Metal analyses by Flame AAS, Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP-OES) and Cold Vapor (CVAAS)

## Instrumentation
PerkinElmer Optima 2100 DV and 8300 DV (ICP-OES), atomic absorption spectrometers, LECO carbon/sulfur analyzers, and fire-assay furnaces.
